Country Chicken Curry

Now a days we usually eat country chicken instead of broilers.If i serve chicken curry and rice to my husband , he will be on cloud nine:-).Those who have tasted will surely agree with me that this chicken curry taste awesome when serve with hot steaming rice.

 Ingredients:
Chicken pieces-500gms
Onion sliced-1/2 Cup
Onion Puree-1/4 Cup
Ginger-Garlic Paste-1 Tbsp
Chilli Powder-1 Tsp
Deggi Mirch Powder-1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder-1 Tsp
Chicken Masala-1 Tbsp
Roaster Cumin-Pepper Powder-1 Tsp
Tomato Puree-3 Tbsp
Whole kashmiri Mirch-1
Bay leaf-1
Medium Potato Pieces-3/4(Optional)
Mustard Oil-4 Tbsp
Lemon-1/2
Hot water-As required
Salt-As per taste
Method:
1.Marinate the chicken withsalt,turmeric,chilli powder,ginger-garlic paste.
 2.Heat oil in the pressure cooker.Add the whole kashmiri mirch and bay leaf.Add sliced as well as pureed onion and fry till it change colour.
 3.Add the marinated chicken pieces and the remaining masalas and tomato puree.Fry for 20-25 mins in low heat.
 4.When the chicken pieces are cooked for 30 mins or so, add hot water and the potato chunks.And pressure cook for 4-5 whistles.
5. Let the pressure goes and then take it out in the serving bowl.And its ready to go.

Notes;
1.Hot water needs to be added as per the gravy consistency.
2.Adding potato is entirely optional.
3.Deggi mirch add red colour to this dish.
